ADVENTURES
09.12.2005
9/10 and 7/10, the scores rocksound magazine gave skoud “systems
& drafts” and the let airplanes circle overhead album
respectively. you can find the full reviews in issue 80 (january
2006) out now, or read a transcription in our press section. needless
to say, we’re very happy with our first uk press. look out
for more reviews in other magazines over the next couple of months…
we are doubly excited because capulet head into the studio tomorrow
to record their first record to be put out on the label. we cant
wait to hear it, and to get working towards a hopeful march release
date. we’ll keep you informed as things progress.
let airplanes circle overhead have been featured in “if mice
could move mountains” magazine (you can read the article by
clicking the magazine title) and seem to be selling remarkably well
in japan. here’s hoping the excellent rocksound review will
allow them to repeat that success over here in january when the
album is released proper. shellshock distribution have, as usual,
been working really hard, and have now secured us distribution in
switzerland. there will be more territories to follow in the new
year, as well as some very exciting announcements…
with the way things are going, 2006 looks like being a very special
year indeed…

CHANGE OF PLANS
22.11.2005
unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstances, the retail release
date for the first three motivesounds recordings releases has been
put back from november 14th to january 23rd. the cd's are all still
available to buy from the website and at shows, and this new date
will coincide with the upcoming skoud tour. its a shame we have
to wait a little longer, but it does mean we have a better shot
at getting reviews in some of the big mags. thanks to everyone who
has already bought a title from the website, we really appreciate
your support.
more news to follow very soon.
'fury against the formless' by let airplanes circle overhead is
to be featured on the free compilation 'mind the gap' with dutch
magazine 'gonzo circus'. the magazine is out december 16th in holland.
skoud is also featuring on the same 'mind the gap' compilation,
the chosen track is 'beat 1-1'.
we'll post more news on this when we know it.

MONTAGUES AND...
13.10.2005

what better day to announce a new signing? we are very pleased to
announce that capulet are the latest addition to motivesounds recordings
roster and will be putting out their first studio release on the
label early next year.
capulet formed last year and have gone from strength to strength,
when we saw them at the final gig of their tour with secondtolast
we were blown away. plans were laid and now, finally, we have the
chance to release some music from this great band. have a look at
their page to learn more, and download a track from their self released
ep "no time spoke the clocks".
we'd like to think john would have been proud of our endeavours
to get great music noticed.
happy john peel day.
mark & ben.
