Let Airplanes Circle Overhead have decided to call it a day. We'll be releasing 'Delays': a very limited EP of the last recordings from the band within the coming months so keep an ear to the ground.
The tracklisting is as follows...
1. Courageous Behaviour Often Leads to Nothing More than Immediate Personal Tragedy
2. Peace Through Jesus Christ
3. As An Enemy

4. Two Spent Swimmers

As one band leaves, two more join...

We'd like to welcome Sea Kelp to the ranks. Sea Kelp is another way of saying Samuel Francis Cain, formally of The Next Autumn Soundtrack and Hooray! Say The Roses. An EP will be released sometime in the Spring/Summer, but for now you can download a few demos from the Sea Kelp roster page.
April 2008

After months of delays, re-designs, set-backs, and Desktop Tower Defence, we can finally say welcome to the new Motive Sounds web site.
The concept of the site is to feel like a magazine. Each month we'll commission someone to design a front cover, with each page constantly being updated in some shape, form or colour. April's cover image is by Barry Smith of Create & Consume, the architect of the whole thing.

We haven't just been sitting playing
Desktop Tower Defence for the last few months though (leaderboard = MotiveSounds), we actually have some news as well...

The delay riddled vertical montanas 7" featuring all members of Jonquil and Youthmovies is now available to buy from the Motive shop.

Pre-orders are now being taken for 'The Message' 7" by scrapyard noise-punks; Ned who happen to be touring the UK at the moment.
Check the live page for the when and where.

Another addition to the roster is Glasgow folk/pop duo, Over The Wall who inflict their relationship on others through the medium of euphoric pop music using keyboards, laptops, guitars, mandolins, trumpets, hurdy gurdys and kazoos. An EP will be released at the end of the year, but for now have a listen to myspace.com/overthewall

We now have FaceBook and Last.fm pages, make sure you add us, post a comment, look at our wall, or whatever it is you do on them.
Mt. have finished recording their new EP, titled "Teach Your Children How To Think, Not What To Think". The track listing looks like this...
1. Pencil Drawings Of Animals
2. Yes, I Can Solve A Rubiks Cube, But I Can't Very Well Solve Your Problems Now, Can I?
3. Brokeback Mt.
4. Lecture On Nothing
It was recorded with Nic Jay who also recorded the Manatees and Mt. debut LP's with Aereogramme's Iain Cook limbering up to master the thing. "Teach Your Children..." is set for a Summer/Autumn release.

Finally, our new online shop is up and running with reduced prices on postage and selected releases. We're also giving away Motive badges and hand-made stickers with all orders...
